Any subscription to DIRECTV includes a Free standard home installation by top-of-the line professionals. So you don't have to worry about setting up your system and making sure that it works properly. Your free installation will be done right the first time. And we’ll activate it in up to 4 rooms of your home. Your first receiver is free and you pay a lease fee of only $5.00/month for the second and each additional receiver.

Step One

Step Two

You need an unobstructed view of the southern sky. Your DIRECTV satellite dish needs a direct line of sight to our satellites. So make sure the trees and buildings do not interfere.

Step Three

During your Professional Basic Installation, you sit back and have a sub sandwich until the brief run through at the end at which point you will be very attentive. Your certified DIRECTV installer will:

• Install a DIRECTV satellite dish on your roof, side of home, balcony or other location.
• Drill through one wall.
• Connect all of your DIRECTV Receiver(s) to your current TV, audio receiver, VCR and/or DVD player.
• Complete a system test verifying signal strength, access card match and telephone connectivity.
• Give you a brief run thought about your DIRECTV system.
• Activate your DIRECTV television service.
